As the number of elderly people increased, China allowed its citizens to have 8 children

Beijing, May 31, 2021, Monday

The Jinping government is concerned about the growing number of elderly people in China after years of implementation of the One Child Policy, which has allowed citizens to have three children. China's state-run Xinhua news agency said the decision was made because of the growing number of elderly people in the country. This historic decision was taken at a meeting of the Politburo chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to a report, China's population has grown by 0.7 per cent to 1.31 billion, including all 21 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

New census figures show that there are 25 million people over the age of 60 in China, and the growth of the elderly is affecting balanced growth. In China, 25 million people are between the ages of 18 and 6. Birth control measures were introduced in the 1990s to stem China's growing population. Couples were allowed to have only one child. In China, which has been crushed under the heels of communism, the strict implementation of this is having the opposite effect. Emphasis is being placed on strengthening the economy as the aging population grows.

Although birth control rules have long been relaxed in China, people are avoiding having children due to inflation, employment and housing problems. Communist China at one time implemented the One Chain Policy so inhumanely that babies were killed from the mother's womb. Human rights have also criticized the brutal implementation of the One Child Policy, which at one time became highly controversial. Under the changed circumstances, China has been delaying its one-child policy for a long time, but now the Politburo has allowed up to three children.
