On the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi recently said that this was an internal matter of India.
However, after making such a statement, the opposition parties started washing their hands of him. Due to which Qureshi, who was trapped, has now turned around. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is not an internal matter of India but an international dispute. This dispute is an internationally recognized dispute in the UN. The final decision on it will be taken only after a free and fair referendum.
Earlier, in an interview to a channel, Qureshi had said that Article 370 was an internal matter of India. The clip was going viral on social media. The matter is pending in the Supreme Court of India and the Kashmir issue can only be resolved through dialogue.
Opposition parties in Pakistan have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but have called for the beleagured PM to resign.
