Another hurricane is likely to hit India soon

New Delhi, May 19, 2021, Wednesday

The meteorological department has forecast another hurricane to hit India in the next five days as the states have not yet recovered from the devastation caused by the cyclone in India and especially Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala and Gujarat.

Thirteen people have died in Gujarat due to the tsunami. PM Modi is in Gujarat today to get information about the damage done to Gujarat and 6 people have died due to hurricane in Maharashtra. While post-hurricane relief operations are still underway, the meteorological department predicts that one more hurricane will hit the Bay of Bengal between May 23 and 25. The hurricane will hit the Sundarbans and is likely to split into Bangladesh from there. The meteorological department has not yet determined the direction and speed of the hurricane, but the meteorological department said it could turn into a hurricane by the end of the week, given the way the depression has formed in and around the East Central Bay.

Apart from this, the meteorological department has warned the fishermen not to go to sea on May 23. According to officials, temperatures are rising in coastal areas of West Bengal, including Kolkata, South and North 24 Parganas, due to the depression-like situation. Which is likely to increase further.
