A new mutant of the corona virus has been found in the country, transmitting 10 times more infections than the rest of the strains.

The latest mutation in the corona virus, which has been raging across the country, has now raised concerns among scientists.

Scientists have named this mutant N440K. They say that this mutant can transmit 10 times more transmission than the rest of the strains.

According to a report, between April 26 and May 2, 2.6 million new cases of corona were reported in the country, killing 23,800 patients. Due to which the corona wave is taking an aggressive form in many parts of the country.

The mutant N440K was first spotted in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. It is now spreading rapidly in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the country.

The mutant was discovered by scientists at the Center for Cellular and Scientific and Innovation Research in Hyderabad.
