2.66 crore cash, 8 kg gold and silver seized from Food Corporation of Indiana clerk's house

A clerk of the Food Corporation of India was raided in Bhopal by the CBI.

Clark Babu Kishore Meena's house was found with Rs 2.66 crore in cash, a note counting machine and eight kilograms of gold and silver. The CBI has also recovered a diary from him, which contains the names of a number of senior officials who were involved in large-scale corruption in the FCI.

Babu Kishore Meena was once a watchman in the FCI and at the behest of the officers he became a clerk. He then joined hands with senior officials and started corruption worth crores of rupees.

The corruption was exposed when the Delhi-based security company had a security contract for the Bhopal office. Bhopal officials were demanding a 10 per cent bribe from the company to pass the bill. Rangehath was caught demanding a bribe of Rs.

The duo had named the division manager. The trail of bribe money eventually reached Babu Kishore Meena's house, where the scam under investigation was exposed. 2.66 crore cash was also recovered from Meena. Apart from this, a number of other documents have also been found. But it turned out to be more than a crore.

Meena, a teenager of FCI officials, is a confidant and the officers kept the bribe money at her house.
