Bad news has come from the barge P305, which was stranded in the Arabian Sea due to Hurricane Touk. A total of 14 bodies were recovered from there during the Indian Navy operation. The Navy has been conducting relief operations in the area since Tuesday. However, a total of 184 people have been rescued, which is a matter of relief.
Navy officer Manoj Zai confirmed that 14 bodies had been found. A total of 63 people have been killed so far in Maharashtra and Gujarat due to the cyclone. The barge was stranded in the Arabian Sea, a short distance from Mumbai, due to Hurricane Tout. Work was being carried out to evacuate people from the barge trapped near the oil rig. Several other agencies, including the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard, were involved.
A statement in this regard was issued by Fcon, a company of barge P305 standing near ONGC's oil rig in the Arabian Sea. The company claims that this is the worst hurricane recorded in the last 5 decades which has caused widespread destruction. A total of 261 people were aboard the barge at the time the hurricane was reported on Monday. So far 184 people have been rescued and a massive search operation is underway with the help of the Navy.
