West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has repeatedly accused the central security forces of helping the Bharatiya Janata Party and preventing voters from voting. The Election Commission has taken cognizance of Mamata Banerjee's allegations and sent her a notice. Earlier, the Election Commission had sent a notice to Mamata Banerjee over her statement on "uniting Muslims".

The notice sent to Mamata Banerjee by the Election Commission on April 8 referred to Mamata Banerjee's statements questioning the role of the central security forces. A TMC delegation on February 21 accused the BSF, deployed to guard the Bangladesh border, of intimidating villagers in a one-party party.

According to the Election Commission, it is unfortunate to blame the BSF. It is one of the best forces in the country and it is wrong to question it. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee also referred to a statement in which she appeared to be barring CRPF voters from voting.

All paramilitary forces, including the CRPF, play an important role in the elections, the Election Commission said. They maintain law and order and conduct fair elections. Mamata Banerjee's allegations are unfortunate and will raise questions against the central security forces not only during the election but also after the election.
