Supreme Court stays petition against vaccine issue

The apex court had stayed the application of Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court S.A. A three-judge bench headed by Bobde has stayed the application for Kovid-12 vaccine for the time being and ordered not to hear it in the High Court till the next hearing.

The Serum Institute had moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of all the petitions filed against him to the Bombay High Court. A similar application was made by Bharat Biotech.

The court also sought clarification from the central government regarding the petitions. The apex court has given all the parties two weeks time and directed all the parties, including the central government, to respond within two weeks. Until then, the issue has been stayed in different High Courts.
