Remedies should be used only for patients in need of oxygen: Central Government

New Delhi, dated 14 April 2021, Wednesday

The central government has issued new guidelines for its use amid a shortage of remedicator injections amid the outcry of the Corona epidemic.

Under the new rules, the government has now banned the use of remedicivir in places other than hospitals. The government has said that remedicivir will not be used in medical shops. It will be used only on patients in the hospital who need oxygen. This injection cannot be used at home.

This means that no one can buy these injections from shops. Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. Apart from this the government has taken the above decision to ensure that the injections reach the hospital and critical patients.

The government has asked domestic companies making remedies, information on drug stocks, details and distributors to be made available on the website. If a company or distributor is caught cheating, they will be prosecuted.

The government says demand is set to rise further in the coming days. Which necessitates a ban on injections.
