Hassan, the son of Paramvir Chakra winner Veer Abdul Hameed, who saved Pakistan's sixes in the 1965 war, died at a hospital in Kanpur on Friday. Hassan's son has accused doctors of negligence.

Hassan's family said that Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital officials did not even bother to test Ali Hassan's corona to find out if he was infected with corona. He was admitted to the hospital. However, the oxygen support was removed four hours after he was kept on oxygen in the hospital. After that his health deteriorated further and the hospital did not pay attention to him despite our request.

"We informed the doctors that Hassan was the son of Paramvir Chakra winner Abdul Hamid but the doctors did not take care of him," he said.

Hassan Ali lived in Kanpur and retired after retiring as an Ordnance Factory employee.
