The third wave of Corona in France has forced the government to impose a nationwide lockdown. President Emanuel Macron announced a nationwide lockdown on Wednesday. "Schools will not be closed for three weeks to help push back the third wave of the Covid-19 transition, otherwise the third wave will hit hospitals as well," Macron said. "If we don't take strong action now, we will lose control of the corona," Macron said.

4 week nationwide lockdown

Macron announced a 4-week nationwide lockdown. In a news broadcast on TV, he said only essentials shops would be allowed to remain open during this period and people would have to work from home instead of offices. Further announced that public meetings would be completely closed during this period. It is also prohibited to travel more than 10 km from home unless there is a valid reason.

Schools will also be closed for 3 weeks from next week. However, during Easter Friday, people will be able to go wherever they want in the lockdown. According to a report, the total number of infected people in France has reached 46.46 million and so far 95,502 people have died due to corona.
