Chandigarh, Ta. 23 April 2021, Friday

Oxygen-filled tankers are now also being stolen amid corona patients lacking oxygen in hospitals across the country.

The system is running after reports that a medical oxygen tanker sent from Haryana's Panipat refinery to Sirsa disappeared on the way. The driver of the tanker has no address. The tanker is also not equipped with a GPS locator system.

Based on a complaint lodged by the Drug Controller's Office, the police have formed a team to search for the tanker. According to the details received, a number of oxygen-laden tankers were dispatched from the refinery this morning. That is, the tanker driver's phone was switched off shortly after leaving the refinery.

It is also suspected that the conspiracy to disappear the tanker may have been planned. Now the police are rushing to find the tanker. The Panipat refinery has started supplying medical oxygen from Wednesday.

The refinery will supply 150 metric tonnes of oxygen to Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.
