Navy submarine missing in Indonesia, 95 km north of Bali: 53 people aboard


- Oil spill was found at the place from where the submarine started moving

Jakarta: The Navy submarine has gone missing near the resort island of Bali, according to the Indonesian military. In which 4 people were riding. Army chief Hadi Tijahjanto said KRI Nanggala had gone missing while participating in the 303 training exercise.

The submarine disappeared into the water 3 km north of Bali. He further said that various ships have been deployed to search for these submarines. Help has also been sought from Singapore and Australia.

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, contact with the submarine was lost shortly after the submarine was allowed to proceed.

A helicopter trying to locate the submarine found oil spilled at the spot where the submarine started moving.

The ministry further said that the ship was carrying four crew members and a commander and three gunmen.

The German-built submarine has been in the Indonesian Navy since 191. Currently, the Indonesian Navy has five pass submarines and wants to increase this number to eight by 203.
