Medical oxygen generation plants to be set up in 551 hospitals across the country from PM Care Fund

PM Modi has taken a big decision to alleviate the oxygen crisis amid the Corona epidemic in the country.

Today, PM Modi said that 551 Medical Oxygen Generation Plants will be set up across the country from the PM Care Fund. The plants will be installed in government hospitals and will be completed as soon as possible. Will go.

There are a total of 718 districts in India and a total of 1003 district hospitals. According to this, one oxygen plant will be required for every two hospitals. The plant equipment will be procured by the Health Department of the Central Government.

Earlier, Rs 201 crore was allocated from the PM Care Fund for setting up of 162 dedicated oxygen plants. The plant is also in the process of being set up in government hospitals. The cost of each plant is Rs 40 to 50 lakh. This plant can take oxygen from the air and pump it directly to hospitals.
