Impact of elections, half a ... 1500 per cent increase in Corona cases in a month in West Bengal

Even in the midst of the Corona transition, the campaign for the Assembly elections in West Bengal is in full swing. Voting is yet to take place in different phases till April 30.

However, the result of the crowds at election rallies and road shows is that Corona is now rampant in Bengal. Corona cases in Bengal have increased by 1,500 per cent in a month. Corona will be a major challenge to any new government after the Bengal elections. It seems so.

In Bengal, the number of corona cases dropped to 3,110 on March 11. However, the number of active corona cases in the state has risen to 53,000 since March 20. Large-scale meetings of leaders may be the main reason for the corona transition.

As far as Puralia district is concerned, there were 35 active cases till March 18. Similarly, the number of active cases in Howrah and Hooghly was 84 a month ago, which has doubled. In South 24 Parganas, the number of corona cases was 126 on March 14. Have doubled.

The number of corona cases in the capital Kolkata was less than 200 in February. Now, the number of corona cases has gone up to 2234 on April 20. Polling is yet to be held in Kolkata.
