The farmers' movement is going on in the country on many issues. The price hike of fertilizer (non urea fertilizer) by IFFCO is causing a stir on social media. However, IFFCO then had to clarify that it would sell the fertilizer at the old price and the increased price was only for printing on sacks.

In the case of price hike of Dye Ammonia Phosphate (DAP) and Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) based fertilizers, IFFCO said that the rates that are going viral on social media do not apply to farmers. IFFCO has 11.26 lakh tonnes of Complex Fertilizer (DAP, NPK) which farmers will get at the old price.

According to the viral news, IFFCO has increased the price of DAP by Rs 700 per sack (50 kg). Apart from that, the prices of NPK have also gone up sharply. However, according to IFFCO, farmers will get the same price at the old price till they get a new order for fertilizers including DAP.
