DRDO has developed a technique to provide safety shields to naval warships. The scheme was launched under the Make India project. This advanced chaff technology will help divert missiles by diverting enemy radar.
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a technique to protect warships. This advanced chaf technology will protect naval warships. The Navy has been given the green light by successfully testing three variants of this technology.
The specialty of the technology is that it will mislead enemy missiles. That is, if an enemy missile attacks a naval warship, it will confuse it and take it in another direction. DRDO scientists have developed this technology. Advanced Chaff Technology will work in three variants. The technology will provide protection to warships in three ways - short range, medium range and long range.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO and the Navy on the technology. The defense ministry said the technology was up-to-date. Strategically this method will prove to be very useful.
Chaf technology is used to protect warships around the world. Thus it began to be used on a small scale from the time of World War II. Since then, Chaf technology has become much better as the technology has been constantly updated.
