Corona vaccine to be given free to all people above 18 years of age in Rajasthan: Gehlot govt decision

Jaipur, Ta. 25 April 2021, Sunday

The Rajasthan government has made a big decision. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced that the government will provide free corona vaccine to all people. This means that the people of Rajasthan no longer have to pay for the vaccine out of their own pockets. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made the announcement in a tweet. He wrote that the Rajasthan government has decided to provide free core vaccine to all people above 18 years of age in the region at a cost of about Rs 3,000 crore.

At the same time, he wrote that it would have been better if the central government had also borne the cost of vaccination of people between the ages of 18 and 45, as per the demands of the state governments.

The central government has announced to give corona vaccine to all people above 18 years of age from May 1. But this time the vaccination is not free. The cost will be borne by the state government or the people will have to pay. However, the Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand governments have earlier announced free vaccinations for people above 18 years of age.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma says that the Indian government says that people above the age of 18 will be vaccinated from May 1. When I spoke to the Serum Institute, we were told that it could take up to May 15 to fulfill any order placed by the Government of India. They cannot vaccinate Rajasthan before this,
