It is possible to make a more effective vaccine against corona

As the virus changes, so does the vaccine: AIMS Director

The country does not need a complete lockdown at present, red-yellow-green zone solution: Guleria

New Delhi: Randeep Guleria, director of the Delhi-based AIIMS, said the corona epidemic would last for a long time, adding that he hoped the virus could weaken in the coming days if people's immunity increased.

Talking about the corona vaccine, he said that the vaccine will also become a regular thing, every year the high risk group will have to be given the corona vaccine. In the days to come, people will be talking about corona just like we are talking about influenza and flu. The corona vaccine is not a compromise but a weapon, although a bigger weapon than the vaccine is social distance and adherence to protocol.

He said that as the virus changes, so should the vaccine, and if any variant occurs, a mask must be worn to prevent it. At present the country does not need a national level lockdown, we must stop the transmission. A mini lockdown will have to be carried out by creating a micro containment zone where the cluster is forming.
