It may also be necessary to take a third dose of the vaccine to completely avoid corona. It is called a booster dose and can increase the amount of antibodies in the body many times over. It will no longer deplete the body of antibodies.

The third dose will be given at this time

A team of experts from the center has approved a clinical trial of the booster dose. Scientists at Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad have also started a study for this. The vaccine course is completed only after taking two doses of covexin at an interval of 28 days. But some studies claim that antibodies remain in the body for only 3 to 6 months. Booster doses for longer antibodies are required in these circumstances. A member of the committee informed that a booster dose could be given 6 months after taking 2 doses of the vaccine.

Bharat Biotech has also asked the people involved in the test to take follow-up for 6 months. Booster doses may be available in the coming days if this study remains positive. Booster doses are no different but antibody boosts can occur with a third dose, committee members said.

The virus cannot prevail

According to the study, even the variants of the virus cannot dominate the body after the booster dose. The antibody lasts for several weeks after infection while the booster dose will protect against the virus for many years.
