Central forces shot civilians in the chest and committed genocide: Mamata

Mamata accused of CISF shooting incident

Claims that Election Commission banned entry of leaders to cover up the fact of Cooch Behar incident

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has claimed that CISF jawans shot civilians in the chest during elections in Bengal. Calling the incident a genocide, Mamata said the CISF was an industrial security force, had no experience in controlling the mob, so it was wrong to deploy it.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Mamata said all outsiders had opened fire. The rule is that sticks are used first to control the crowd, but here the Central troops shot the civilians directly in the chest.

May has already said that central forces are being used only to intimidate civilians. People will vote for this whole genocide.

Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, said that the ban imposed by the Election Commission on the entry of politicians in Cooch Behar was imposed solely to suppress evidence of the killing of civilians by the CISF and to prevent the case from proceeding.

Addressing a press conference, Mamata said, "Even though entry to Cooch Behar has been banned, I will visit the place where the incident took place and meet the family of the victim." They are expected to visit the area on April 14.
