After Covishield, Covacin is also cheaper, Bharat Biotech vaccine will now be available at Rs 400

After strong opposition from states and opposition parties to the expensive corona vaccine, Bharat Biotech also slashed the price of its anti-corona vaccine on Thursday, where the vaccine will now be available to states at Rs 400 instead of Rs 600.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Serum Institute had reduced the price of Covishield vaccine by Rs 100 to the states.

Opposition parties have been targeting the Modi government over higher prices for the corona vaccine, with the Center, Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech asking in recent days to reduce the price of its Covid-19 vaccine.
