A gang selling paracetamol in an empty vial of remedivir was caught


- The accused were charging Rs 5,000 to Rs 35,000 for fake injections

On the one hand, corona outbreaks are on the rise across the country and at the same time, there is a shortage of remedivir injections. Then came a very shocking incident from Baramati in Maharashtra. Baramati police have busted a gang selling paracetamol in an empty vial of remedivir injection and selling it to corona patients. The gang was reportedly selling fake remedivir injections for Rs 35,000.

A relative of one person in Baramati needed a remedivir injection. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was reported to be receiving injections. A member of the team at the hospital told him that he himself works at the Kovid center and demanded Rs 35,000 for the injection and Rs 70.00 for the 2 injections.

After informing the police about this, he arrested the accused and in the interrogation he revealed the names of his 3 accomplices. A very shocking revelation was made during the interrogation of the four accused. One of the accused was working at the Covid Center and he was collecting empty vials of remedivir and bringing them with him. They then dissolved the paracetamol tablets in water, filled them into a liquid vial and sold counterfeit injections for between Rs 5,000 and Rs 35,000.
