The BJP, which has been raising the issue of love jihad till now, has now raised the issue of land jihad in Assam, sparking a new debate.

Amit Shah said in his election campaign in Assam that if a BJP government is formed, it will also make a law against land jihad. There is a lot of discussion about why Amit Shah made such a statement. BJP alleges that Badruddin Ajmal should not be allowed to be the face of Assam under any circumstances. Because the BJP says that if Ajmal's government is formed, there will be an increase in love jihad and infiltration in Assam.

A number of BJP leaders have been claiming that the Muslim population in Assam has grown exponentially under the Congress rule, giving political protection to infiltration and love jihad. BJP leaders allege that the Muslim population in Assam was 5 per cent in 2001, up from 25 per cent in 2011. If infiltration continues in the near future, Assam will become a Muslim-majority state and the interference of outside elements will also increase.

The BJP has been saying for a long time that if our government is formed, the infiltrators will be expelled from Assam. There are 11 districts behind the growing Muslim population in Assam. These are the districts where the Muslim population is more than the Hindus. BJP claims that where the Hindu population is 2 When it grows at 3 per cent, the growth rate of the Muslim population is 20 to 25 per cent. All this has been protected during the Congress governments. If the Congress forms a government with leaders like Ajmal, it will happen again.

The BJP has also alleged that the number of Muslims in the border districts of Assam is increasing and infiltration from Bangladesh is a big issue here. If the Congress comes to power, it will be impossible to stop the infiltration.
