US-EU will have to pay the price of ego, China provoked after sanctions

The United States, the European Union, Canada and Britain have all jointly imposed sanctions on China over allegations of human rights abuses in the western province of Xinjiang. China has issued summons to foreign diplomats in protest of the sanctions. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Tuesday called the new sanctions "defamatory" and "disrespectful to the Chinese people."

"I would like to warn the people that they must not underestimate the determination of the Chinese people to protect their national interests and dignity, and that they will have to pay the price for their stupidity and arrogance." Criticized and condemned the sanctions.

China's Wang Yi and Russia's Sergei Lavrov have rejected external criticism of their authoritarian political system, saying they work for global progress on issues ranging from climate change to the Corona virus epidemic. Both ministers said no country should try to impose its form of democracy on others.
