The Prime Minister will have to make a separate arrangement to reach Parliament, not to use ordinary roads

- The new PM accommodation and PMO will be in the South Block

New delhi date. Thursday, March 4, 2021

The general public of the country will no longer have to be bothered by their convoy when the Prime Minister and the Vice President go to Parliament and return from there. Tunnels are being built in the new parliament that will lead to the Prime Minister's residence and the Vice President's house via an underground road. This will ensure that the general public is not bothered by VVIP activities on the roads and traffic outside Parliament will also be normal.

The tunnels have been constructed with the aim of ensuring that the convoy of celebrities like the Prime Minister and the Vice-President do not disrupt traffic and ensure their movement in Parliament. According to Central Vista's construction plan, the new PM housing and PMO will be in the South Block and the new VP Chamber will be in the North Block. Apart from that there will be a chamber of MPs on the Transport and Shram Shakti Bhavan side. These tunnels will be single lane as they will be used exclusively by some people.

There is no need for such a link from the Rashtrapati Bhavan as it is located a short distance away and the President rarely comes to Parliament and it is also pre-determined.

Many areas in the Central Vista and Lutyens Bungalow Zones are currently under tight security and VIP transport to accommodate the influx of people.
