The government has been silent for 15 days, a sign of big action against the peasant movement: Rakesh Tikait

New delhi date. Monday, March 1, 2021

Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Indian Farmers' Union and a farmer leader, alleged that the government's silence over the past few days was a sign that the government was going to take major action against the movement.

"The central government has been silent for the last 15-20 days and there are indications that something is going to happen," Tikait told reporters on Sunday night. The government seems to be moving to take action against the movement.

"Farmers will not go back until the government agrees on a new agricultural law," he said. Farmers are ready. They will also take care of the farming and also the movement. Let the government negotiate with us when the time comes. Mahapanchayats will be held on March 24 at a number of places in the country.

He alleged that whatever bombing took place at the Red Fort on January 26 was caused by the government. Now in the coming days the ready yield of wheat will come in the market. If the government does not buy farmers' wheat on MSP, the government will be responsible for it.
