Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement today. Delhi will now have its own separate education board. The Cabinet has given the go-ahead to this decision. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said other states also have their own education boards and the study of the Delhi board will start from the 2021-22 session. This decision will have an impact not only on the education system of Delhi but on the education system of the entire country.

"There was a sense of inferiority in government schools in Delhi. When we started spending 25% of the budget on education, things started to change," Kejriwal said. We improved the infrastructure and sent teachers abroad for training. We started sending our students abroad and sent them abroad for the Olympiad of Physics, Chemistry. In many places our Delhi children won medals and brought them.

He further said that we have empowered the school principal so far there was interference of Directorate of Education within every school. The approval of the Directorate had to be sought for small things but now we have given power to the principal and increased his working power from 5 thousand to 50 thousand.
