Terrorist attack during councilors' meeting in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir, PSO and councilor killed

A major terrorist incident has taken place at Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir. The militants attacked BDC chairperson Farida Khan on Monday. One PSO and one councilor were killed in the attack. BJP BDC chairperson Farida Khan was rescued in the attack.

The militants opened fire on the corporation office in Sopore. Police personnel Shafqat Ahmed and Councilor Riaz Ahmed were killed in the attack. Apart from that, Councilor Shamsuddin Peer has sustained injuries.

Farida Khan was critically injured in the attack and has been admitted to a hospital in the area. In addition, forces have been deployed in the area following the attack.
