Sachin Waze case: Family back in support of Deshmukh, says there is no question of resignation

Mumbai, Ta. Monday, March 22, 2021

The allegations leveled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh have created political turmoil in the state. In the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the Opposition raised a fuss, but the Sharad family was again seen in support of Deshmukh today.

Nationalist Congress Party national president Sharad Pawar once again defended, saying, "You people are asking what will happen to the home minister. So today I make it clear that there is no question of resignation. The charges against him are baseless.

In a press conference, Pawar defended Anil Deshmukh. He was admitted to Deshmukh Hospital in February. The allegation that Deshmukh and Sachin Vaze had a conversation in February is baseless.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today convened a meeting of senior officials attached to the Law and Judiciary. There, the Bharatiya Janata Party has opened a front against the Maharashtra government and demanded a narco test on Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, apart from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
