At present, petrol prices have been reduced by 18 paise per liter and diesel by 17 paise per liter following the fall in international crude oil prices. However, Rahul Gandhi has also targeted the government for reducing petrol and diesel prices. He has linked the reduction in petrol-diesel prices to the Assembly elections.

Petrol-diesel prices fell on March 24 amid a softening in international crude prices. Prior to that, petrol-diesel prices remained stable for 24 consecutive days. Petrol-diesel prices were last changed on February 27.

This is the first time this year that petrol-diesel prices have come down. According to a report, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs. Increased to 21.58 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of diesel has gone up by Rs 19.18 per liter.
