Women MPs spoke during the budget session of Parliament on the occasion of International Women's Day. The first Women's Day greeting was given when the proceedings began in the Rajya Sabha. At that time the issue of women's reservation was once again raised in the House. What is special is that now in the House, why only 33 per cent reservation is given to women, 50 per cent reservation should be given.

Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi told the House, "There was talk of giving 33 per cent reservation to women in the country 24 years ago but now it should be increased from 33 per cent to 50 per cent. While women make up 50 per cent of the country's population, women's representation should also be 50 per cent.

Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “The pressure on women during the lockdown has increased tremendously from domestic to mental. In these circumstances, all these issues should be discussed in detail in the House and women should be given rights.
