The National Investigation Agency has made another revelation in the case of placing a Scorpio car full of explosives outside the house of businessman Mukesh Ambani.
An investigation by the NIA and ATS, based on CCTV footage, revealed that a meeting took place on February 17 between police officer Sachin Waje and Scorpio car owner Mansukh Hiren in the Fort area. The two had a 10-minute conversation in a Wagon Mercedes parked on the road.
Meanwhile, another Mercedes and a Toyota Land Cruiser were seized from the Waje compound by the NIA. This car was used by Waje. Sources said that Mansukh Hiren's death may have been related to the car. The owner of the seized Toyota car is Shiv Sena's Ratnagiri leader Vijay Bhonsle.
The agency claims that six other people were involved in the case along with Waje. The agency has collected a shirt and some other evidence from Waje's house.
