Nandigram: Mamata Banerjee registers candidature after pooja at Mahadevji's temple

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today registered her candidature for the next Assembly elections from Nandigram. Before registering her candidature, Mamata Banerjee first went to the Shiva temple for worship and then walked to register her candidature.

On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee's rival candidate Subhendru Adhikari has also inaugurated his office in Nandigram today. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee reached Maharudra Siddhanath temple on foot and worshiped there and also anointed Mahadev. She then registered her candidature. The temple where Mamata Banerjee worshiped today is 1000 years old.

When Mamata Banerjee went to register her candidature, a large number of people joined her. It may be mentioned that Shubhendra Adhikari, who was once Mamata's general, is contesting from here and the country will keep an eye on this high profile encounter.
