The army has had great success in Shopia, Jammu and Kashmir, killing four militants. Kashmir Zone Police said four unidentified militants were killed in a clash with the army in Munihal area of Shopia district.
The operation began at 2 p.m.
The clash started around 2 pm in Manihal area of Shopia, according to Jammu and Kashmir police officials. A joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF has killed four unidentified militants. Army search operation is underway.
7 terrorists shot dead since March 11
The army has killed seven militants since March 11. Earlier in the day, security forces shot dead a militant in a clash that erupted on the night of March 13 in Shopia. M-4 carbines, 36 cartridges, Rs 9,600 and some catastrophic materials were seized from the slain terrorist. Earlier on March 11, two Jaish militants were killed in an 18-hour clash in Anantnag and AK-47 rifles, pistols, grenades and ammunition were seized from the militants.
