Giant container ship trapped in Suez Canal, traffic jam at sea

Cairo, Ta. 24. Wednesday, March 2021

The same situation with traffic jams on the roads is being witnessed at sea today. This situation has arisen at the Suez Canal in Egypt.

The Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea. Ships seeking to travel from Asia to Europe via this route do not have to sail around Africa. A giant cargo ship has been stranded in the canal, though the cause is not yet known.

Evergreen is operated by a Taiwanese company. The company says the wind was blowing fast when Evergreen entered the canal, causing the ship to get stuck in the canal. All crew members aboard the ship are safe. Touching the wall of the canal on the west side while the rear is very close to the wall of the canal on the west side. The trapped ship was going to the Netherlands. It is 400 meters long and 59 meters wide. Can be imposed.

Hundreds of other ships have been deployed to straighten the ship. However, the number of other ships seeking to cross the Suez Canal is now on the rise. Egyptian officials say it will take another two days to straighten the ship.

On the other hand, about 50 ships pass through here every day and delays to them can also cause significant damage to trade.
