EU bans four Chinese officials over atrocities against Uighur Muslims

The European Union has announced a ban on military officials from China and Myanmar. The European Union (EU) has approved a proposal to ban four top military officials from persecuting Uighur Muslims in China.
Uighur Muslims in China's Xinjiang province are subjected to physical and mental torture. The European Union (EU) has banned four high-ranking officials from the Chinese military for harassing Uighur Muslims.
The European Union (EU) will also impose sanctions on the top 11 military officials involved in Myanmar's military coup. The head of the European Union's foreign policy, Joseph Borrell, has said that Myanmar is in the process of creating political instability by removing the elected government and banning 11 responsible officials, including the commander-in-chief.
Earlier, a proposal was made to ban military officials from engaging in violence in China and Myanmar. The proposal was reviewed by the foreign ministers of the EU's representative countries, after which the EU foreign policy chief announced the ban.
If the assets of banned Sino-Myanmar military officers are in Europe, they will be confiscated. In addition, banned military officers will not be able to travel to Europe.
