Last Tuesday (March 23), a huge cargo ship Evergreen carrying goods from China got stuck in Egypt's Suez Canal, the world's busiest trade route, causing a traffic jam. However, 6 days later at 4:30 a.m. Monday the ship was safely evacuated and is now slowly moving towards its destination.

More than 100 ships were stranded on the route on Tuesday. The ship is being operated by 25 Indians. All Indian drivers are completely safe. The incident caused a loss of Rs 2,800 crore per hour and affected most of the trade between Asia and Europe.

It is learned that this huge cargo ship Evergreen has a Panamanian flag on it. The 193.3 km long Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea. The ship lost control while crossing a canal north of the Suez Port on Tuesday morning. Large tug boats that are very powerful and work to push the ship were deployed to get it out.
