Babita Fogat's sister commits suicide, loses life in wrestling final

Babita Fogat's cousin Rita was not defeated in the final after which she hanged herself on Monday night. Ritika hanged herself in a house in Balali village of Fuwa Mahavir Fogat. Police have handed over the body to his family after the postmortem. The funeral of the deceased took place on Tuesday in Jaitpur, Jhunjhunu district of his native Rajasthan.

According to reports, 17-year-old Ritika had been training at her fuwa Mahavir Fogat's academy for the past five years. Ritika competed in the state-level sub-junior women's and men's wrestling competitions from March 12 to 14 at the Bharatpur Lohagarh Stadium. Meanwhile, Hrithika lost the final on March 14.

According to reports, Mahavir Fogat was also present during the final. Hrithika was shocked by the defeat. On March 15, at around 11 pm, Ritika committed suicide by hanging herself with a fan in a room of a house in Balali village of Mahavir Fogat.
