100 days of farmers' movement over, farmers celebrate black day, next meeting to be held on March 15 for next strategy

New Delhi, Saturday 6 March 2021

The farmers have been protesting for 100 days against the new agriculture law by the central government. On Saturday, the farmers' union observed a 100-day blockade of the KMP Expressway on the eve of the 100th day of the agitation. Apart from that, the farmers jammed the roads of Dasna, Duhai, Baghpat, Dadri, Greater Noida. The farmers' association will meet again on March 15 to decide on the next course of action.

Farmers 'leaders will prepare a program for each week in the coming days, and a meeting of farmers' organizations will be held on March 15 to discuss the strategy, in addition to the Kisan Mahapanchayats.

After the farmers' agitation which started on November 6, 2020, the central government first held a discussion with the farmers on December 1 at Vigyan Bhavan. Since then, there have been 11 rounds of discussions between the farmers and the government. More than 70 farmers have died so far.
