With petrol prices skyrocketing, the finance minister admitted that this was a serious issue

The rise in petrol prices in the country has upset the people and the opposition's attacks on the Modi government have also been furious over the issue. Now, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram has issued a statement on the issue.

"This is an issue in which people will not accept any other answer without lowering the price. So if I say anything, people will say I am avoiding answering. That is why I said this is a serious issue," he said. The government has no control over petrol prices. Oil companies import and distribute crude oil. This is a major religious crisis.
