We have to agitate to survive and save the land: Rakesh Tikait

Saharanpur, 28 February 2021 Sunday

Arriving at the Kisan Mahapanchayat in Saharanpur, Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Indian Farmers' Union, slammed the BJP government, saying "if you want to survive and save your land, you have to agitate."

"Let the government listen. Our program is fixed till March 24. We will go all over the country," he said. "This government has worked to provoke the sentiments of the farmers." People do, he said the public will never forgive you.

He told the people of Saharanpur that traders have no attachment to any area or city, if any trader is harmed here, he will go to Delhi or Chandigarh to do business, if there is any loss, he will do some other work. But even if the farmer suffers for 10 years, he will still cultivate in the 11th year, the farmer will never give up farming.
