Union Budget 2021-22: Promotion of FDI in insurance sector, announcement of gas pipeline project in Jammu and Kashmir

- LIC's IPO will be launched this year

The country's general budget 2021-22 has been tabled in Parliament today amid the Corona era. The Corona epidemic has wreaked havoc on the country's economy, damaged industries and left millions jobless. So on the other hand nationwide corona vaccination is going on. Most importantly, thousands of farmers on the border of the capital Delhi are protesting against the government's three agricultural laws. Given all these circumstances, the eyes of the entire country are on this general budget.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that FDI in the insurance sector will now be up to 74 per cent. Earlier this limit was limited to 49 per cent. Apart from this, it has also announced to create a charter for investors. Nirmala Sitaram has been announced for start-up companies. Under which about one per cent companies will be allowed to start work without any kind of reckoning.

The finance minister said the government was constantly working for disinvestment. Many companies will complete the process this year. At the same time, it has announced that LIC's IPO will be launched this year.

Nirmala Sitaram has also gifted Jammu and Kashmir in this budget. He announced that about one crore beneficiaries from Jammu and Kashmir would be connected under the Ujjawala scheme. At the same time, a gas pipeline project will be launched inside Jammu and Kashmir.
