New delhi date. 23. Tuesday, February, 2021

The Indian government has given permission to Pakistan PM Imran Khan to use Indian airspace.

Imrakhan is on a two-day trip to Sri Lanka with a delegation of his ministers and businessmen and for this his plane needed to use Indian airspace.

Earlier, Pakistan did not allow PM Modi's plane to use its airspace for travel to the US as well as Saudi Arabia in 2019, citing the Kashmir issue. However, the Indian government has not adopted a policy of settlement.

Imran Khan's plane will now be able to reach Sri Lanka via Indian airspace. If India had not given this permission, it would have been his turn to fly to Sri Lanka.

Imran Khan was invited by the President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka to visit Sri Lanka. The two countries will discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, health, education, agriculture and defense.
