There is an uproar in Parliament today over the farmers' movement. Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma have issued notices for discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the issue of farmers. Several other opposition forces have also demanded a discussion on the issue of farmers.
Opposition slogans in Rajya Sabha
The issue of farmers is being raised in the Rajya Sabha. Opposition lawmakers called for the repeal of the anti-peasant black law. Earlier, some opposition forces had issued a notice seeking discussion on the issue of farmers but the Rajya Sabha chairman refused to discuss it today. After which the Opposition walked out of the House and Zero Hour began. Opposition MPs then returned to the House, raising their voices in support of the farmers and calling for the repeal of agricultural laws.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu said the agriculture law has already been discussed so it is no longer needed. He said that if you wish, a record of discussion can be kept against you. Venkaiah Naidu said not today on the peasant movement. There will be a discussion tomorrow.

The adjournment motion was granted
The adjournment in the Rajya Sabha has been proposed by some opposition forces on the issue of the ongoing farmers' agitation against the three agricultural laws. RJD MP Manoj Jha, TMC MP Sukhendu Shekhar Ray, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva, CPM MP E Karim have proposed adjournment and demanded discussion on the issue of farmers.
