Millions took to the streets to protest despite police violence in Myanmar

Yangon, Ta. Wednesday, February 10, 2021

Millions of people took to the streets again today to protest the military rule in Myanmar and break every law. Meanwhile, security forces raided the headquarters of ousted Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi.

In addition to Yangon, people still took to the streets in Mandalay, the country's second-largest city, as well as in the capital, Napier. Protesters were again demanding the handover of the civilian government to ousted Aung San Suu Kyi.

They were also demanding the release of Suu Kyi and all government officials, as well as Mehta, who were captured by the army after adjourning a new session of parliament on February 1. "We overthrew the government because of the fact that Suu Kyi's party came to power by trying to manipulate the November election," the military said.

The Election Commission denied the army's allegations. Given the growing outrage and raids by the Junta government, there seems to be no chance of reconciliation. The 1988 uprising was crushed by the army, which continued to rule after the 1962 uprising. Then in 2007 the revolt of a Buddhist monk was also severely suppressed.

Nepieto and mandalayamam police had water on the water, I tried my hatopolise demonstrators at protests. There were also clashes with police on the road in some places. Police in some cities also fired rubber bullets and fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. One of the protesters, a woman, was injured.
