Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait gives ultimatum to government till October 2 to withdraw agricultural laws

New delhi date. Saturday, February 6, 2021

The peasant agitation on the Delhi border in protest of the three agricultural laws imposed by the government may be prolonged. Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait has made an important statement regarding the farmers' movement. "We are not going to get up from here," Rakesh Tikait said from the stage at the Ghazipur border after a three-hour nationwide traffic jam on Saturday. The protest will continue till October 2, demanding repeal of the three agricultural laws.

Rakesh Tikait has also given an ultimatum to the government in this regard. Tikaitai said the government has until October 2 to repeal the three laws. Then we will start planning. We will not even discuss under any kind of pressure. We will travel all over the country and start a nationwide movement.

He accused the government of trying to intimidate farmers by sending notices, but said the people were not to be intimidated. We are ready if the government calls for a discussion. This government is attached to trades and not to farmers.

It may be mentioned that even before this, Rakesh Tikait has talked about starting a farmers' movement till October. Then once again he has confirmed this. If this happens then the central government's troubles may increase.
