Corona: WHO praises PM Modi's efforts, cites rapid redressal in India


- India ahead by vaccinating 60 lakh people in 24 days

The World Health Organization (WHO) praised India's efforts to tackle the corona and Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the measures had taken the form of a mass movement. WHO Representative in India Dr. "The speed with which the disease has been diagnosed and cured in India and the people have been encouraged to follow the rules of corona is made possible by the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Rodrico Afferin said. According to a report by the Union Ministry of Health, India is currently the fastest country to vaccinate 6 million people against COVID-19. It took 26 days for the US to reach this place, 46 days for Britain while India achieved this feat in the fastest 24 days.

Not a single death from corona in 17 states in 24 hours

The impact of the Corona epidemic in the country has been steadily declining. In the last 24 hours, not a single death has been reported in 17 states and union territories. However, the number of people infected has risen to 1,08,71,294 so far as 12,923 new cases of infection have been reported. In addition, the death toll from the corona rose to 1,55,360 with 108 deaths.
