New Delhi, 4 February 2021 Thursday

Coronavirus has infected 21 out of 100 people in the country. Most people not only know about the infection, but when their blood sample is examined, they learn about the immune system that has been developed against the corona virus.

Notably, corona infections were most confirmed in samples from women and children. This revelation has been made in the third sero survey of the country. To detect the spread of the corona virus, health teams visited 70 districts in 21 states of the country and examined 28,589 people in 700 villages / wards, 21.5 per cent of whom were infected.

The survey also found that the infection was spreading among health workers. When a sample of 100 health workers from each district was examined, it was found that out of 7171 health workers, 25.7 per cent were infected with corona. The relief is that these people have recovered from the infection without any treatment.

On Thursday, the Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Dr. Balram Bhargava said that the third survey was conducted between December 17, 2020 and January 8, 2021 for the first time in 700 places. He informed that health workers have also been included in the CIRO survey for the first time.
