The Municipal Commissioner of Indore, which is one of the cleanest cities in the country, held a strange meeting. Normally the seats of the corporation are found in the AC office but the meeting of the officials of Indore Commissioner Pratibha Pale was not in the AC office but between the gutter and the dirt.

In the area known as Panchkuiya Nala in Indore, Commissioner Pratibha Pale held a hygiene review meeting with government officials, and discussions were held with officials from each zone, health officials and officials of the concerned department.

Officials were specifically instructed not to leave CND waste and mounds of dirt on Main Road, an official said, adding that the commissioner ordered action against shopkeepers in the area for students scattering garbage outside shops at night.

Apart from this the meeting instructed the employees to wash the markets mainly every evening. The commissioner should wash the dirty spaces with a pressure machine. He directed the concerned officer of the department to monitor the cleanliness in his area.

What was special about this meeting between gutters and dirt was that ordinary citizens also came together to watch this meeting, after the meeting the citizens applauded and praised the authorities and the corporation. Citizens say that the sewers have been cleaned and a very good job has been done. There used to be a lot of dirt and stench here.
